Roadtrip

President's Day weekend found us zipping (that's a relative term) up to a friend's cabin at Mt. Baker in NE Washington. The Cascades there are more of an actual mountain chain (you can see the Canadian Rockies in the distance in places) than the here and there volcanoes we have here. I think my mouth was hanging open a good bit of the time.
Andy spent two days on the mountain and was quite happy with it - the weather was perfect. Those of us not inclined to throw ourselves downhill at breakneck speed had a great time checking out the scenery, having drinks at the lodge, and hanging out. Monday's drive home was two hours longer than it should have been due to traffic, but it was worth it.
